  1. Is it only some Senators that can afford decent websites? Mind you I guess from your performance so far the bandwith on blogspot will just about match the interest.

  2. I suspect the weasel worded "Gazza" persona was just created to put a pointlessly stupid first comment on Monty's new blogsite.

"Gazza" above has only been on Blogger a maximum of 8 days (joined in April). He/she/it has had 2 profile views (including when I looked). Obvious troll

  3. Well you 2 should get along like a house on fire, the backbencher with the attitude problem and the failed candidate. Don't worry guys my website is under construction and it will contradict every bit of propoganda you poor cheapy bloggers put out there :-x

  4. Well Gazza I hope you get at least one follower on your blog to give you a wee bit of credibility!!

I for one will not be reading/commenting on it. Poor cheapy bloggers eh? Well you have just become one too it seems.Pots and kettles?

Good show Monty, didn't notice you had an attitude problem. Keep up the good work.

  5. The Blog has only been going for 7 hours and I am glad you like it already. I don't care if there are no followers, it is under construction and by the time everything comes together with the final Wiltshire report it will be spread around. The anti-Graham Power brigade are gonna luv it :-x

  6. I said nothing about the blog, rather than that Monty is speaking out as a lot of the electorate want him to.
I would hope he is flattered that he has a troll already, even before he has posted anything!

  7. Ah a Blog Under construction! Let's hope something does appear, and it's not a Town Park blog!

What about something about St Brelade issues? What general concerns (without names and Data protection infringement) have been brought to your notice? What Parish initiatives are you helping with? I know you do a lot behind the scenes, but it helps to let the public know.

Perhaps as a start - a report on the trip the the UK Parliament!

  8. Don't they have anger management on Jersey? That Gazza person needs to see someone quick.

Chill out! We all love your cut-and-paste technique on your blog noir and are tremulous with excitement waiting for the next fruits of your profound research. We are stunned by your facility for blogging, posting six articles in one day! Dostoevsky move over.

In the meantime, it would be nice if this blog was left to deal with politics, not gratuitous insults and endless ballyhoo over whether you believe Tweedledee or Dumdedum.

  9. You have to laugh though, if you add up the same people all joining each others blogs and you check out the actually Stats, around 6 of the same people all visit each others blogs simultaneously yet they all have the same non influencial rubbish to say!!!

  10. Gazza is correct that only a few blogs actually have anything to add intellectually to the political debate and nothing much original in the way of news, let alone insight into current affairs as dished out by the commercial media.

That said, the Right has yet to create a credible blog site. Not that they need one when they have government outlets such as the JEP, CTV and BBC Radio Jersey. That leaves free-lance Rightist of various shade of Falangism to Troll around progressives' sites and leave inane comments. Most of that comment, as noted above, is just personal jibes. Teenage boys can be more ironic, vituperative and witty.

Gaza I wait to see the intellectual defence for imposed austerity measures by the Council of Millionares (apologies, that should be Council of Multi-Millionaires).

  11. Gazza,

I was pleased to have my attention drawn to the “Coconut Blog”. Interesting that a/the freelancer(s) has/have taken it upon themself/selves to establish a “Not the Syvret site”. No doubt as interest wanes, attempts will be made to spice it up with lots of personal comments, just like the object it seeks to ridicule. Why establish a new site when there are so many “Sensible” ones to choose from?

One step forward, two steps back

  12. Arrrr, is my blog upsetting you Kornilov :-x

The truth hurts eh? All people have said to me over the 2 days is, oh, I can see why Graham Power was suspended now, gosh this is bad. Something you guys have done your best to avoid for sometime eh because these reports make a mockery of your pro-syvretite propaganda once and for all?

Interest wanes? Try and resurrect your pro Harper and Power arguments now thats all I can say :-x

  13. Gazza,

Your blog site does not worry me in the slightest, mainly because it lacks any depth or argument. How much are your masters paying you to do it? I suppose it supplements your social security. Are they satisfied? They ought not to be as it will not have much impact.

If you think that concern over the suspension of Graham Power is only because of Senator Syvret you are not very astute politically. SSS likes to be the centre of attention, and I am afraid you only serve to satisfy that need.

Why do you bother to engage with the Establishment's critics at all?. Why not do like them and ignore all challenges to the exercise of power. Engagement equals legitimation. Again, not very politically astute.

What the public want is the truth, not the cover up and half lies that government has provided so far. We all wait to read the Report in full - not the redacted (sanitised) version that will probably emerge from the Royal Square Tardis.
